Trip 3 - Celebrating New Year!
In December 2019, our apartment is almost ready (well the glass floor arrived but was not yet installed...). We had the chance to do some sightseeing and discovered many new, great places! Finiq, Butrint, Lekuresi Castle among many other sites.
Finiq
Finiq is a special place, just east of Saranda, on a hill overlooking the surrounding farming flatlands as well as the Butrint channel, a place well worth a visit. Here you can see archeological sites from the roman empire just next to bunkers from Enver Hoxha's Communist era. And the view of the surrounding areas is great.
Not many tourists find this place, at least not off season.
New year in a new home!
The sunset over Corfu is amazing between October and March. This year the weather was quite pleasant; 20 degrees during daytime. Our New Year dinner was Boeuf Albanignon. Our own local variant of Boeuf Bourguignon...
